Dec 03, 2025 - FASSelangor FC will face Cebu FC in their third match of the ACC Shopee Cup 2025/26 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, Manila, kicking off at 7pm tonight.
Competing in the Shopee Cup for the first time, Selangor FC have been drawn in Group A alongside strong sides such as Buriram United F.C., Tampines Rovers FC, Cebu FC, Công An Hà Noi FC, and BG Pathum United F.C.
So far, the Red Giants share four points with BG Pathum United F.C. in Group A but remain top of the table with a one goal advantage. Catch the standings here.
Selangor FC head coach, Christophe Gamel, said the team is determined to put up a strong challenge despite playing on a synthetic pitch.
“Cebu FC now have greater strength and quality, and they will certainly give a tough challenge for us. Playing away is never easy, especially on a surface our players are not used to. However, the squad knows what to expect and we are ready to face this challenge,” said Gamel.
“I believe the players will stay focused and committed to giving their best in this match. We will play with full spirit, compete strongly, and continue to fight for the points tonight,” he added.
In terms of player availability, Sharul Nazeem will miss the match due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. Zikri Khalili is in the final stages of recovery before returning to full training, while Haiqal Lau has now fully resumed training and team activities. He, along with the other selected Red Giants players, is determined to deliver their best performance as the team aims to extend their lead at the top of Group A.
Selangor FC management are confident that the team will focus and give a strong, competitive performance against Cebu FC. Let’s do this, Red Giants!
